I ordered 2kg “Fresh plain Medjool dates” from Levantine Ltd in Auckland, this is how the seller described his dates but when I received them, I was shocked to see that they were dry and old.
I contacted the seller, and asked him why the dates were dry and old? his reply was: “yes, it is (dry and old) from the origin” … “we cannot control the origin”! What a dodgy excuse to blame the original supplier! as if my contract was with the his supplier! He refused to take responsibility, and insisted that he did nothing wrong! I believe it is false advertising to claim that the dates are “fresh” when in fact he himself acknowledges that they were old and dry! Basically, he is lying to customers too!
My recommendation to new customers is: do not go by the pictures that he displays on his website, the dates I received were no where near the dates that are in his photos!
